Hi all,

What are these perished bits called?

They have been painted/coated in something?

Are they an expensive replacement?

Thanks for your help!

Those are your inlet rubbers.

Im going to guess that you bought the bike second hand. It looks like they were perished and the previous owner covered the cracks over in some sort of rubber coating.

You need to replace them. You can either buy the same ( 2002 ) or you can buy the 36Y version but on your bike you'll need to carry out a couple of mods for them to fit as they are slightly different lengths.

you can get either type from ebay.

Oh shit!
